Associated Press POSTED: 6:17 pm CST March 3, 2012 KANSAS CITY — The Kansas City Chiefs have announced that right guard Will Shields, who made the trip to the Pro Bowl a club record 12 times, is the newest inductee into the team’s hall of fame.“On behalf of my family and the entire Chiefs organization, we are extremely proud to announce Will Shields’ election into the Chiefs Hall of Fame,” Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt said in a press release. “Will was a true iron man, never missing a game in 14 seasons, and his career and character place him among the greatest in Chiefs history.”Shields was the Chiefs’ first draft pick in 1993, taken in the third round out of Nebraska.
